Whether you’re a startup or an established company, hiring the right coder can make or break your project. Here’s a guide to help you hire programmers in the UK and ensure a successful partnership.
When you hire a programmer, it’s essential to define your project’s scope and requirements. Are you looking for a front-end developer to enhance user interfaces or a back-end web developer to manage server-side logic? Perhaps you need React developers for a dynamic, responsive website. Once you identify your needs, you can begin searching for web developers for hire through reliable platforms.
For businesses seeking top-notch talent, hiring a UK developer ensures a good balance of technical expertise and understanding of local market trends. You can choose to hire a coder online for flexibility or engage a professional from an agency offering front-end web development services. Platforms like hireacoder and others specialize in connecting you with skilled professionals.
If you’re working on a long-term project, it’s important to hire programmers for the project who are not just technically proficient but also align with your company’s values and goals. Freelance platforms or agencies can help you find coders for hire who meet your specific needs, whether it’s for a quick task or an extended project.
Finding the right website developer for hire doesn’t have to be challenging. With clear goals, a detailed project brief, and a reliable platform to connect with talent, you can build your dream team of developers. If you’re saying, "I need a programmer," start your search today and turn your vision into reality.

Hey bitches! When it comes to changing careers, is it worth it to enroll in a boot camp or other such school program or would you have better luck going for internships and then working your way up? From my research, people generally seem to think you should work rather than go to school, but for fields like cybersecurity, I feel like you need that basis of coursework to even be hired, is that right?
I think it really depends on the field! There are some jobs that absolutely require professional certifications or academic degrees. Others not so much! I've met a bunch of self-taught coders, self-taught carpenters, and self-taught small business owners, but not a single self-taught surgeon, self-taught somme, or self-taught elementary school teacher.
So research what you'd like to do starting with the path there. Reach out to professionals in your preferred field and see if any will hook you up with an informational interview or a brief email outlining how they got where they are. People will be honest about the requirements it takes to get where they are.
For example: it took ZERO certifications or higher degrees to become loudmouthed online advice-givers, and YEARS of unearned confidence and learning from our own mistakes to deliver the flawless Bitches you see before you today.

How many comics do you have? and where can I find them?
thank you for asking!!!!
sadly right now i don’t have any finished comics to show off as I only recently got the time to seriously work on my art BUT i do have a variety of projects that i can show off! there’s some stuff i’m actively working on and other stuff that’s more of a back burner thing but let me list out everything i’ve done/have planned on doing
1) angel bites
ok so my current project i’m working on right now is called angel bites and it’s actually going to be a fun lesbian erotica comic about an angel girl and devil girl who are bandmates and who secretly hook up on the side. i’m currently in the process of thumbnailing this one and i’m guessing it’s gonna be around 60 or so pages. once im done i’m gonna have the comic up on patreon/have it for sale digitally on a platform like itch.io BUT the first 20ish pages are sfw so I will post those publicly for free so i can show off my work and characters.
i designed these in universe pin ups that i haven’t posted publicly yet and even though i wanted to wait until i finish the third one in the series that’s a little sillier theyre my most recent and best looking art of the characters
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2) sacrificial lamb
sacrificial lamb was my main focus for a bit but i’ve taken a break from it for the time being to work on other projects. it’s a more serious project than anything else i’ve been doing but it’s one i’ve been planning out since 2021 and that i do want to seriously look into getting published when it’s finished. it is a lesbian horror comic about a butch lesbian rabbit whose femme cat girlfriend gets sucked into the darker side of new age spiritualism. here is my WIP of the cover and a finished page
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3) claw wrench
this is a lower priority project of mine but one i still want to make exist in some form one of these days. it’s about a teenage cat named milly going to live with their estranged super genius mad scientist half sister named mindy and her robot assistant mr. rogato. it would be a newspaper strip style comic with a few larger plot threads. i might start it up one of these days after i’ve gotten some other comics under my belt and i feel like i have a better mental image of what i want the writing to be like. here’s some designs i did in 2021
Tumblr media
4) be mine, valentine
this is a project featuring characters of mine who i’ve had for a few years but only recently decided i wanted to turn into a short story. it’s about a peryton coder named cupid who is unbeknownst to herself a trans girl egg discovering her identity after being hired by a trans girl sex worker unicorn named valentine to help build a website for her work. it’s a short but sweet little love story that i have to plan out better before i seriously work on it but i can see it being something i make in the near-ish future. there will be some nudity and sexual themes but nothing pornographic so i will upload it for free online when it’s done ^_^ sadly i um…don’t have a sfw drawing of valentine yet LOL so you’re just gonna have to deal with a cropped pic
Tumblr media Tumblr media
5) thalassophobia
this is probably most relevant to peoples’ interest who follow me and something probably remember. thalassophobia is a really big steven universe fan comic i started writing to give lapis a more complete arc. i had a lot of passion for it back in 2022/23 but steven universe hasn’t been on my mind as much recently so it’s gone on the back burner. still i put a ton of work into it so i’d like to come back and finish writing it one day, although for the actual comic process i might see about getting some help on pages and colors and such since considering the scale i think it’s way too big for me to do solo. here’s a cover and a few test pages i did
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I HAVE ONE MORE COMIC TO TALK ABOUT BUT IVE USED UP THE IMAGE LIMIT i’m gonna finish in a reblog so give me a second

Can’t stop thinking about that ask saying Nick only has basic coding skills and pretty much just used online templates. That would explain SO much. I am once again asking for CS to hire more coders. Maybe someone who actually knows how to code too?

Employment Struggles
I'm going to do something shocking and use this as an actual blog post.
I am SO sick and tired of applying to jobs, only to be ignored completed, or even worse the interview is scheduled and then the role is filled before I can interview. Today the interview was cancelled a minute before the scheduled time. Then the person who would be interviewing me ignored me on email and phone.
I am mentally exhausted. I am broke all the time. I don't get unemployment because I've never been eligible for it. The only good thing about this is that I have full healthcare coverage and food stamps.
I am a medical assistant with experience, I am a certified professional medical coder with internship experience, I have experience in retail, yet I cannot even get a call back from McDonald's, let alone a good healthcare job.
I've considered becoming a behavioral health tech, but I just truly don't want to be hit/bitten at work. I also couldn't deal with the families of children disagreeing with a preset therapy plan while I'm physically stuck in their home. The other options I was looking at was security, or 911 dispatcher, but dispatch classes are few and far between into next year, and also expensive. And security can be dangerous.
At this point, being 30 and just defeated by how unsuccessful I am in life, I am considering going to a trade school. Like welding. Or automobile tech or something that is actually in demand. There is literally no other options for me and I'm literally five minutes outside of San Francisco. I am mildly considering an IT course, but tech is so unstable and unsafe while also being over saturated right now and I don't trust it. But then, you have to deal with stereotypical personalities in 'conservative' trade jobs too. The other risk is I spend time and money doing a trade school and then no one wants to hire me (like I've done twice now). I don't know what to do.
The trades I'm considering:
Electrician
Welder (part of machinist trade) (honestly this is most appealing to me)
Aircraft Maintenance Technology (Can't hurt with SFO next to me and their planes literally falling to pieces in the sky every week)
HVAC (still don't really understand what this job even is)
The guilt I'm feeling is that I am about to finish my BA in psychology next month, and I'm waiting to hear back from the two colleges I applied to for a Master's to become a therapist. If I get in to my top choice, that's $60k+ I'll need to fund. If I get into the state school, which is slim, that's likely covered by school loans, but I'll still want to make some kind of income for three years I'm in the program. If I don't get into either program, then my last choices are: work while getting med school pre-reqs done, or work while doing an online MFT program (which I really don't want to do an online only program but if it's accredited at the end of the day I don't care.) The online only school would also be $60k+ so I'd need to work regardless.
I'm feeling guilty too because I've never been the fanartist who can drop a new print and have thousands of followers want it. I can't make money that way. Commissions have always been my most lucrative offering as an artist, but it's often mentally very taxing. It's also unstable. I don't have a lot of followers to drum up a successful pays-my-rent-every-month Patreon, and with the way of algorithms and sites are these days, I likely won't ever. I'm not trying to complain for sympathy, but this is just how it's been for me.
I know it's stupid to feel guilty for things like this, but I just am in this nebulous space between being apparently unemployable while also not being unemployable enough to receive livable benefits while continuing job hunting.
So I guess I'm looking for opinions on trade professions. I'm trans, but I pass masc in public save for my voice really. I also am not the kind of person to wear pride pins or color my hair rainbow, which would draw attention that way. I'm not too concerned about mean people in a trade job, because honestly the rudest people I've worked with have been in healthcare anyway. And a trade job would mean no customer service positions/working with my hands, which requires little mental gymnastics.
Also pointless, but true, I keep thinking of Debbie in Shameless getting her welder certification after becoming a teen parent.
I guess the takeaway here is, I'm more willing to be hurt on the job by a machine mistake on my part than I am willing to be hurt by other people assaulting me (very real in healthcare jobs/security) while working.
What do you think?

Nvidia Intro
Tumblr media
(The image was mostly made by using a doll maker called "Monster Girl Maker." the artist is Ghoulkiss on twitter. I went in and edited the character to get it exactly how I wanted.)
This is Nvidia Moadum a beloved streamer who seems to be able to steal the heart of any audience. I have a feeling she may steal your hearts as well. She loves making music and coding. She actually coded the monitor to be able to emote so she can express her emotions but still hide her identity.
Nvidia Moadum Beloved streamer
Basic Info:
Name: Nvidia Moadum Gender: female Age: 9 sweeps - 20 years Derse or Prospit?: prospite Fetch Modus: n/a Strife Specibus: n/a Weapon: gauntlets Title: Witch of Heart active/passive: active
Troll info:
Troll Information: Blood color: gold/honey Lusus: gorgon/seraph Ancestor: n/a Trolltag: canorousTrilogy Quirk: <p>the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog:</p>
Relations
Matesprit: n/a Kismesis: n/a Moirail:n/a Auspistice: n/a
Personality:
Nvidia is someone who likes who they are almost to the point of being a bit self-obsessed. They tend to be very emotional and weary of conflict and how they are perceived. They like being a streamer as they are often able to control how people see them and tend to stay out of controversies so as to not ruin their reputation. Being a streamer also gives them emotional distance from their audience and also other people in their life that they don't fully trust and much less like. They also tend to be instinctively sweet, clumsy and a little ditzy.
Bio:
Nvidia is a troll who grew up on the internet as they were often isolated when they were younger due to their lusus being overprotective of the young honey blood not allowing them to ever step foot out of the hive. Due to this they would spend most of their time programming and joining in on collaborative indie gaming projects as their abilities got better. They started to gain notability for their skills in coding and started to be sought out to help work on more professional games. After a while they began to get a little bored with coding and decided to pick up a new hobby to give them a break from coding. This new hobby became music, starting out making dubstep tracks before switching to 8-bit music instead. Some of their tracks were bought to be used in games or she was hired to make soundtracks for games. With being a well-known coder and musician online they were able to make a profitable career on an online platform. With the popularity of their two passions, they decided to do what they loved on stream where they show off their really bad gaming skills, make some music on stream, and sometimes show off their coding.
Notes
-Part of the reason they are so successive and popular is because their heart aspect unintentionally influences people's emotions and subsequently making it easy for her to steal any audience's heart. -She absolutely has many different tv heads. -The TV's heads were programmed by her and powered by her pysonics. -Is associated heavily with eyes.
Hobbies/likes
-streams as a hobby/living -plays video games (likes more story-based games) -comic books -makes music -loves to code -makes their own clothing

The low-code moment for writers
I was talking to a coder about how there are promises in the air about how "anyone" can be a writer now. A few years ago, I remember similar promises about how "anyone" could create an app "with the click of a button". And of course, there were the promises from the early web about how "anyone" could start a business or a publication. Plenty of people did, but "anyone"?
Seriously?
Nope. Not just anyone. Many did none of those things. In fact, most didn't.
App makers are still mostly actual coders. Online businesses are still mostly actual businesses. We need to look at the promises made by AI-based art and writing tools in the same light. Most people who will use AI tools to make art and create fiction will be actual professional artists and writers.
The thing that makes someone something is not the availability of a tool. It is the desire to do the thing.
No matter how easy it becomes to create an app, someone who doesn't want to do so, won't do so. And even if someone does, they will either end up with something generic and without soul. Or something that they will need knowledge of code to fix and improve.
No-code or low-code solutions mostly only do one thing to markets. They bring more people into it and provide the professionals with more opportunities. Popular website building tool Wix doesn't need you to have any knowledge of code. But after you have built a website, it offers you the option of hiring professional web designers and web developers to enhance your site.
I see the panic among writers, designers, and artists about the coming of the AI age, and I feel like telling them that though they will lose out on some opportunities in the short term, in the medium to long term, this revolution will open up doors that they don't even know exist right now.
I will write more about this soon. I recognise the fears and apprehension that is emanating from creative communities right now. I even share some of those. Particularly the ones about professions at risk and jobs being lost. But I'm a huge fan of the movie Hidden Figures. In it, a group of mathematicians are at risk of being made obsolete by computers that can do their job in seconds.
They solve this problem by being the first people to understand and operate the new technology that threatens their livelihood.

Just finished my Masters in Library Science Thursday (got word I passed my comps!!)
The amount of times I’ve had to defend my choice to get this degree is absurd.
I spent the last two years financing my degree while working at the library on the campus I got my degree at. The job I had was a coding job. I coded online library exhibits, managed databases from the back end, updated and maintained the website (so. Much. HTML and CSS coding, not to mention XML). I did not have a computer science degree but I was hired because I had taken one semester of basic python coding while in undergrad and libraries are struggling to get people who understand computers. I only got to check out books and sit at the reference desk when those departments needed someone to cover a shift. Other than that, I was in a back office fixing computer code.
Librarians do literally so much. She mentions in the video social work. I live in Washington DC, a big city with a huge homeless population. The public libraries here are crucial in helping the homeless find resources, in getting people on their feet, getting them medical care and counseling, etc. She also mentions librarians as teachers. Aside from teaching computer literacy skills like she did, librarians teach so many other skills. I took a whole class called Teaching Information Literacy that was about how to help people find information in a world that is so saturated with misinformation (how to find reputable sources, how to search correctly, etc.). A huge part of that class was also about how to teach, so we did mock lessons in front of the class, lesson planned, learned about different learning styles, basically things that my education major friends learned in their education classes in college. Librarians also are coders (I guess I can call myself a coder now) and experts in their own fields (many university librarians have higher level degrees in other fields like history, foreign language, philosophy, biology, etc. because they are the liaisons for those subject areas and therefore have to have expert knowledge in those areas). We have to negotiate license agreements (took a whole class on that) and develop collections, which goes beyond just ordering books off Amazon (also took a whole class on that). We catalog books into the library site so you can see them (that is some advanced coding that I am incredibly intimidated to learn but I have to for my next job).
I took a class on federal libraries two weeks ago, and we toured various federal libraries in DC such as the Library of Congress’s various reading rooms, the State Department, the Department of Justice library, etc. There was a theme in a lot of them of advocacy and how hard it is to advocate for the library’s existence. However, the director of the State Department library told us a story about how she was in a meeting with various department heads within the State Department (so basically a room full of some very VERY smart people) and they were freaking out because they needed a document but were convinced it would take weeks to find. They spent twenty minutes arguing about the best way to go about finding that document. Meanwhile, the library director is searching for it. After those twenty minutes, she stopped them and said “I have the document right here.” They were absolutely amazed at how she was able to seemingly pull it out of thin air. But no- she was using her highly specialized skill in finding information quickly to get them what they needed. That’s what is probably most heavily emphasized in library school (at least in my experience): learning how to search for information effectively.
You also have to consider different types of libraries. There are public libraries, sure- that’s the vision I had for myself when I started the MLIS program. But there’s also academic libraries, where I worked for the past two years and where I will start a job come September. There are school libraries within schools that serve students directly. There are specialized libraries like the federal libraries that have specific and narrow collection development focuses. There are archives and cultural heritage centers (I knew several people on the cultural heritage track; it’s such an interesting area of librarianship). There are historical centers and museums. Heck, the federal government loves hiring people with MLIS degrees because we are taught how to organize things efficiently and easily for everyone to understand. I read an article once that shared a statistic from one MLIS program where 98% of their graduates don’t even work in a library; they work in big corporations doing data science work organizing company data. We have those skills too!
We are not just people who check our books and shelve them. We are so much more.
